“You could rattle the stars... You could do anything, if only you dared.”
About MeHi, I’m Sami, a Counselor Trainee.
I work with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and the uncertainty that often comes with figuring out next steps in life. My goal is to offer a space that feels calm, supportive, and grounded—where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what they’re experiencing.
What I tend to focus on
-
I support clients experiencing anxiety in many different forms, whether it shows up as worry and withdrawal in children, overwhelm and school stress in teens, or self-doubt and indecision in young adults. I focus on helping clients understand how anxiety impacts their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also building practical tools to manage it in everyday life.
-
I work with clients navigating change, uncertainty, and new stages of life. These transitions can feel overwhelming and often bring up anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling stuck. I help clients slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and break larger changes into manageable, realistic steps forward. My hope is that you begin to recognize that struggling with something today does not mean you are destined to struggle with it forever. Growth is possible. Healing is possible. You are not stuck.
-
I enjoy supporting adolescents and young adults as they explore who they are, what they value, and where they want to go next. This often includes working through academic pressure, social stress, and career indecision. I help clients build clarity, self-trust, and confidence in their decision-making process.
How I Help
I work from a structured yet flexible approach, blending gentle support with directness when needed. My style combines open conversation with practical tools and skills, allowing us to both explore experiences and build strategies for change.
At the heart of my work is the belief that it’s okay to not know yet—and still take a step forward.
Progress is often built in small, imperfect moments.

More About Me
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading fantasy and thriller books, playing video games and board games, and watching crime documentaries. I like activities that are both relaxing and engaging, especially ones that involve curiosity or problem-solving.
I also value spending time with my family and staying connected to the people who keep me grounded. At home, I have two guinea pigs that I absolutely adore and enjoy spending time with.
