About Me

Hi, I’m Mya, a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I aim bring a calm, peaceful, and validating presence to my work, creating a safe space where clients feel understood and supported from the very first session. I strive to be a teammate and someone my clients can rely on, helping them build trust and confidence as they navigate life’s transitions.

I believe everyone has the potential to find purpose and freedom in life, and I value the uniqueness of each individual’s background and story. I am energized when clients feel motivated to make positive life changes and develop healthy skills that last well beyond the therapy room.

What I tend to focus on

  • I am especially drawn to working with teens because I understand how overwhelming high school can feel without someone to turn to. I prioritize strength-building and creating a comfortable, trusting space. It is meaningful to me when teens begin developing motivation, self-love, and the confidence to pursue their goals.

  • I support adults—particularly women navigating relationship challenges—in recognizing their self-worth and building emotional regulation skills. I am passionate about helping clients feel strong, empowered, and capable of making healthier life choices.

  • I create space for clients to explore and integrate their faith and personal values into the counseling process. I believe these aspects of identity can be powerful resources for healing, growth, and alignment with life goals.

How I Help

I work collaboratively with clients to establish goals and create a safe environment where they can fully be themselves. My approach balances insight with practical skill-building, helping clients gain clarity, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop actionable tools for navigating life.

Clients often share that our work helps them:

  • Discover a greater sense of self-worth

More About Me

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking with my husband and our two dogs. My military background gives me insight into the experiences of Veterans, and my faith-based perspective allows clients to explore their values in a safe and supportive way. I am committed to strength-building and empowering clients to take meaningful steps toward the life they want.
