Miranda Walker, MA, LPC
Miranda graduated from Ohio University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has completed her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She has received specialized training in Couples counseling through the Gottman Institute (Level 2 certification). She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Ohio Counseling Association.
Miranda is an active member in her church as a worship leader, women’s small group leader, and young adult community group leader as well as being involved in the children’s and high school ministries. She enjoys time with her family and friends, a good cup of coffee (or two), fitness, and coaching competitive high school swimming. Miranda considers it a high honor to be entrusted with the call to walk along others in their struggles. She is passionate about helping others find freedom, healing, and restoration.

Richard Newsom, LSW
Richard Newsom is a Licensed Social Worker with the State of Ohio who has expertise working with people that have depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, anger issues, mental disorders, and addictions. Richard has received his Master’s degree in Social Work from Ohio University in Athens Ohio, and his Bachelors in Social Work from Ohio University Zanesville.
His experience includes working with those combating addictions and mental illness in the inpatient setting and working with families and children of all ages during his 15 years of service as a youth minister. Richard also has experience working with foster children and families as a previous foster parent and leading foster/kinship/adoptive family support groups.
Lynn King, LPCC-S
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Technology from Ohio Northern University and has spent over twenty years in the medical field. She received her Masters in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She has received specialized training addressing adolescent, family, mood disorders, substance abuse, codependency issues and EMDR.
Lynn is also an Associate Professor instructing a variety of courses in Psychology and Chemical Dependency Programs for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies at Ohio Christian University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, Ohio Counseling Association and Central Ohio Counseling Association.
Sydney graduated from John Glenn High School in 2017. She is currently working towards a bachelors degree, dual majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Muskingum University. She plans to further her education by completing a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.
Sydney is an active member on her campus. She is a member of the Chi Alpha Nu sorority where she must maintain a 3.0 GPA and 10 community service hours a semester. She is also a member of the Psychology club, Criminal Justice club and Student Senate. Sydney is honored to be able to be a part of this team and gain experience in the mental health field at a young age.
